We are excited to announce Shannon Ford as Variety’s new Graphics and Digital Media Coordinator! Shannon is responsible for the organization’s graphic design and multimedia content development. She will also oversee and implement all social media efforts and will photograph Variety events and Kids.

Shannon graduated Lindenwood University in 2020 with a bachelor’s in fine arts in graphic design, a minor in web design, and a minor in studio art. Her passion for illustration and printmaking is deeply rooted and started in childhood. She shares, “I fell in love with art when I was really young and knew I wanted to do something with that when I grew up. I wanted to be able to make an impact I thought graphic design could be a great way to accomplish that. I assumed I’d go into illustration but fell in love with brand design.”

Since graduation, Shannon has contributed her skill and enthusiasm to digital and printing firms in St. Louis. She excels in company branding, advertisements, and apparel design and is known for high levels of collaboration and support for clients and co-workers. Shannon’s work ethic and skills are a great asset to Variety the Children’s Charity. She hopes “to make an impact at Variety and help the organization grow and be able to help more kids with disabilities.”

One of Shannon’s favorite quotes is, “The only person who can decide your worth is you.” This outlook is no doubt one way that helps impact Variety Kids to see that they have a great power within them to live and dream with endless possibilities. In addition to listening to music and binge watching tv, Shannon enjoys printmaking and playing with her favorite furry “bud” as a dog aunt. She’s also unmatched in her thumb war abilities.
