Variety Appoints Robin Diehl as New Programs Director

Congratulations to Robin Diehl on her promotion to Programs Director! Robin celebrated her five-year anniversary with Variety the Children’s Charity this year. Originally hired in 2017 as Program Manager, Robin managed Variety’s Recreation and Performing Arts programs, including Adventure Camp, Bikes for Kids, and Chorus and Dance. In her new role, Robin will be responsible for the operational success of all of Variety’s programs ensuring seamless team management and development, program delivery and quality control and evaluation.

Robin shares, “I’m looking forward to growing our programs. We’re off to a great start this summer with a successful Curtain Call theatre workshop where Variety Kids learned the ins and outs of production. We also integrated theatre into this year’s Adventure Camp program for the first time with positive feedback from Variety families.”

Variety’s leadership team has great respect for Robin’s experience and is excited to see how it influences the organization’s outreach and impact to kids with disabilities in the St. Louis region. Brian Roy, Executive Director, shares that “It made perfect sense for Robin to assume this director role. She’s done an outstanding job managing our recreation and performance programs over the years and is already well-versed in the equipment and therapy services we provide. She’s earned the trust of Variety Families and our staff which only serves to further the impact Variety has in our local community.”

Robin’s degree in special education and severe disabilities certification brings a valuable perspective to the organization and to every Variety Kid. Her enthusiasm is contagious and her ability to be present to every child and their needs makes Robin and her team an important part of every Variety Kid’s experiences.
