Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis uses its best efforts to respect the privacy of its online visitors. On our website, we do not collect personally identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. This means we do not require you to register or provide information to us in order to view our site. Variety only gathers personally identifiable data, such as names, addresses, ZIP and postal codes, e-mail addresses, etc., when voluntarily submitted by a Web site visitor. For example, personally identifiable information may be collected in order to respond to a stated desire to volunteer time to Variety or to make a financial donation online.

This information is used solely by Variety or other entities who are involved in the operation of this Web site for internal purposes such as processing a donation, communicating to you about our programs, events and impact, responding to inquiries and requests, and improving our website in order to better serve you.

Variety lists are never sold to third parties. We will only share personally identifiable information with third parties when (i) the person submitting the information authorizes us to share it; (ii) sharing the information is a necessary operation of the website, for instance, to process a credit card transaction; or (iii) we are required to by law. Should you subscribe to our e-newsletter, we will not share your e-mail address with any outside party and will only send occasional, relevant e-mails regarding volunteer opportunities, upcoming events, program information, fundraising appeals and other important announcements. If you, at any time, decide you no longer wish to receive e-mail notices from Variety, we ask that you click “unsubscribe” on our e-newsletter or email us asking to be removed from our mailing list.

You must opt in to receive SMS/text messages from Variety St. Louis. 

If you opt to receive SMS/text messages from us, we may send you event reminders, program updates, fundraising messages or other communications.  Message frequency may vary depending on the type of communication. 

You can opt out of receiving SMS/text messages at any time.  To do so, simply text “STOP” to the 10 digit long code or reply to any SMS message you receive.  Alternatively, you can contact us directly at info@varietystl.org or 314-720-7710 to request removal from our messaging list.  You will receive a text message confirming you have unsubscribed.  If you would like to join again, sign up as you did the first time and we will resume sending SMS/text messages to you. 

Please note that standard message and data rates may apply for messages sent to you from us or to us from you depending on your carrier’s pricing plan.

To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.
