This month, Variety Kids and Teens gathered virtually for a festive social group, led by Variety Family Council member Kim and her daughter, Gracie. A great time was had by all!
The day before the event, Kim and Gracie, dressed as elves named “Holly” and “Jolly”, delivered holiday cheer in the form of goody bags to each participating family. The bags contained everything needed for the social group, including the materials to make some special crafts.
When Variety Kids and Teens logged on for the social group, they were again greeted by elves Holly and Jolly. The group was soon joined by Santa and Mrs. Claus, who read “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” and answered the group’s many questions.
Then, Holly and Jolly led the kids in creating a snowman craft as well as a jingle bell bracelet. They also told several silly holiday-themed jokes to everyone, and lots of laughter was shared. The event ended with caroling and a dance party, along with more questions for Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Thank you to Kim and Gracie for planning, organizing, and leading the December 2021 Virtual Social Group. And thank you to Santa and Mrs. Claus for stopping by – we know you are super busy this time of year! The virtual event was a blast and we are already looking forward to next month.
