Welcome to Variety, Dana!
Welcome to Variety, Dana!
We are excited to announce Dana as the new Health Services Care Coordinator at Variety St. Louis! Dana will be working primarily with Variety’s Medical Equipment program, helping our families get the essential items they need to for their child to thrive.
Dana received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Oakland University and began her career as a Service Coordinator at Developmental Disability Advocates in Jefferson County, MO, helping connect adults with developmental disabilities to the resources they need. Dana also has experience as a Housing Specialist at BJC, helping those with mental illness find safe and affordable housing.
Dana’s determination and expansive knowledge of local resources available to our families make her an amazing asset to the organization and Variety Kids.
Dana says she “looks forward to being able to provide life-changing equipment for kiddos that have nowhere else to turn.”
Dana, her husband, Rafael, their two huskies Lobo and Luna, and their cat Peanut make up her wonderful family. In her free time, Dana enjoys gardening, reading, but most of all travel, exploring new cultures and places. She has even been to 15 countries and is planning on more!
One of her favorite quotes comes from musician Michael Franti and reinforces what makes Dana such a great addition to the Variety Team: “Just work hard and be nice to people.”
Please join us in giving Dana a warm welcome! If you need to reach Dana, you can contact her by email dana@varietystl.org or by phone 314-720-7710.
