I’m also inspired by the staff’s endless dedication to Variety’s mission. I’m thrilled to join the Board of Directors and look forward to helping empower even more kids in the years to come.”

“I am honored to join the Variety St. Louis Board. Variety is an organization near and dear to my heart because I discovered it through the families I represent in complex medical cases. Time and again, I have watched Variety help those families find their footing, access critical resources, and navigate some of the hardest moments with hope and foresight. I am proud to now serve the mission that has served them so well.”
Erica brings strong legal leadership and advocacy experience to the Variety board. Her practice focuses on medical malpractice, product liability, NICU injuries, and child injury litigation. In addition to her legal work, Slater has been actively involved in professional and community leadership, including service with the Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater St. Louis, the 22nd Circuit Judicial Commission, and The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.

Eloise Schlafly
Senior Advisor / Partner in Training at Moneta Group
“I’m honored to join the board and support a mission that feels deeply aligned with my own experiences. I’ve seen how meaningful access to innovative resources and strong support networks can be when navigating healthcare, and I’m excited to help drive that impact forward for others.”
Eloise helps families navigate complex financial planning and multi-generational wealth management. Beyond her professional expertise, Schlafly is a passionate advocate for the disability community through her work with the CMT Research Foundation, inspired by her personal journey with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT 1E).
