Variety St. Louis is excited to announce the hire of Tim Sullivan as our new Director of Development. With his extensive background and expertise, Tim is set to guide us into an exciting new chapter of growth and success.

In his role, Tim will manage and cultivate relationships with individual donors and board members to maximize revenue and resource development while overseeing the efforts of special events and marketing activities. He will engage and inspire an active community of support for Variety St. Louis and convey a passion for its mission.

“I’m humbled and excited to lead the development efforts and expand upon the great works already in place. I am grateful to join such a tremendous organization,” shares Tim.

“I’m inspired by the mission, love working with kids, and being a small part of their growth and development. I enjoy fundraising for a cause that I am passionate about, and I have seen firsthand the enormous impact Variety can make in a young person’s life.”

Tim comes to Variety STL from Boys Hope Girls Hope St. Louis where he successfully managed and cultivated relationships with individual donors, board members and corporations to significantly increase resources over several years.

Tim worked at De Smet Jesuit High School where he served for nine years as Director of Enrollment Management and as Director of Parent Engagement. Prior to De Smet, he was the Director of the Annual Catholic Appeal at the Archdiocese of St. Louis. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Maryville University and was also an NCAA baseball player!

Tim and his wife, Michelle, have been married for 32 years and have four children, Brendan, Ryan, Kate, and Connor. Outside of work, Tim enjoys date nights with Michelle, watching the Cardinals, spending time with his grandson, Beckett, and exploring different genres of music. Tim’s family recently adopted their second dog, Louie!

An interesting tidbit about Tim is that during a service trip to Nicaragua with his daughter Kate, he taught children in the local small villages how to throw a curveball, knuckleball, and changeup. Tim also has over twenty years of experience coaching youth sports, particularly baseball and basketball.

Please join us in giving Tim a warm Variety welcome! If you need to reach Tim, please contact him at tim.sullivan@varietystl.org or 314.720.7707.
