Variety St. Louis Welcomes Linda Hunter to the Board of Directors
ST. LOUIS, OCTOBER 28, 2022 – Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis welcomed Linda Hunter to their Board of Directors this fall. Linda has served on a host of boards at non-profit organizations in St. Louis. She helped lead the capital campaign for COCA, has worked with the St. Louis Aquarium Foundation, The Magic House, Pink Ribbon Girls, St. Louis Zoo, Ollie Hinkle Heart Foundation, Make a Wish and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
Linda’s passion for kids and the arts is expressed in her involvement with these organizations and as an advocate for Variety the Children’s Charity St. Louis for over a decade. Linda has supported Variety Kids through involvement in Variety Women since 2008 and, more recently, by her participation in Variety’s Development Committee. Executive Director Brian Roy shared, “We are thrilled to welcome Linda to our Board of Directors and to see her leadership with our organization grow to the next level. Her wisdom and experience with fundraising for various non-profits in the community will be an invaluable perspective to Variety as we serve more kids in the region.”
Linda graduated from Indiana University with a degree in public affairs. She was a global manufacturing and management executive with 10 years of focus on big box retailers, including Target, Wal-Mart, and Home Depot. As a Demand Manager, she was responsible for forecasting the replenishing products.
Linda resides in St. Louis, MO with her husband Jesse and their three children. She remains active in each of her children’s schools, sitting on various committees. Linda is excited for her new role at Variety, sharing “I am so proud to be joining this amazing team at Variety St. Louis.”
