Thanks Sno Much!

We’d like to say thanks “sno” much to all those who came out to Ballwin Sno-Cone on August 25 in support of Variety Kids! From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on that date, a portion of the stand’s proceeds benefited Variety St. Louis and the kids and teens with disabilities we serve.

Variety Families and members of the community alike came out to enjoy tasty treats and help Variety Kids. They also had the chance to learn a little more about Variety St. Louis and our programs from Variety Alumni Gracie and Meghan, who were present to share their Variety experience. Their moms, Kim and Jane, planned the fundraiser, setting everything up with Ballwin Sno-Cone and handing out information to those interested.

Gracie and Meghan are part of the new Variety Alumni Group, which is made up of young adults (ages 21 and up) who have aged out of our programs and want to make a difference while spending time together. The group plans to gather for social events from time to time and will also participate in spreading the word about Variety, our mission, and our programs and services.

Variety Alumni Gracie and Meghan smile outside of the Ballwin Sno-Cone stand, where they hosted a third party fundraising event.

The Variety Alumni Group is run by the alumni themselves – and their families – and is open to all those ages 21 and up who received assistance from Variety or participated in our programs in the past. If you’re interested in more information about the group and their meetups, please reach out to Kim (Gracie’s mom) via email.

Thank you to Gracie, Kim, Meghan and Jane for planning the fundraiser and thank you, of course, to Ballwin Sno-Cone for donating a portion of your proceeds from the evening to Variety St. Louis. And thank you to everyone who made a purchase to help Variety Kids – you will truly make a difference!
