Standard Bike Request – Child Information Form

Bike Pick-Up: Bikes for Kids on November 14, 2020

Is your child with a disability in need of a bike? All Variety Families are invited to apply for a standard bike for their Variety Kid! No financial need is required – the only requirements are that the child receiving the bike has a medically diagnosed physical or developmental disability and has not yet reached his or her 21st birthday.

The deadline to apply for a standard bike, using the form below, is 4 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2020. Bikes and helmets will be available for pick-up at Bikes for Kids 2020, which will take place outside the Variety St. Louis office (11840 Westline Industrial Dr., St. Louis, MO, 63146) the morning of Saturday, November 14, 2020. You must be available to pick up your child’s bike on this day, and able to transport it home yourself, in order to receive a bike.

Out of concern for the health and safety of Variety Kids and their families due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bikes for Kids 2020 will look different than in years past. This year, the event will be hosted outside in our parking lot and you will be able to pull up in your car to pick up the bike at an assigned time. We will take all necessary precautions, including social distancing and mask wearing, to keep everyone safe! More details will be shared closer to the event date.

Please contact Senior Program Manager Robin Diehl via email with any questions regarding standard bikes or this year’s event. And don’t forget to fill out the form below to request your child’s bike by September 18, 2020! We hope to see you on November 14!

Note: This request form is for standard two-wheel bikes ONLY (training wheels available for 12” and 16” bikes upon request). If your child is unable to ride a standard bike and instead requires a therapeutic bike adapted to his or her needs, you may contact Health Services Manager Misty Burton via email. There is currently a wait list for therapeutic bikes.
