Dinner with the Stars 2019 is tomorrow, Saturday, April 13! Here is all you need to know about our 53rd annual gala, whether you are coming to the program or if you are joining us for dinner as well.
This year’s event, chaired by the amazing Marilyn Fox, will take place at Stifel Theatre, formerly Peabody Opera House. Thanks to generous underwriting from the Steward Family Foundation, World Wide Technology and the Centene Charitable Foundation, all funds raised will benefit Variety Kids – local kids and teens with special needs served by Variety.
Information for Dinner Guests
For those attending our black tie dinner, doors will open with a cocktail reception at 6:00 p.m. We will offer complimentary valet starting at 5:30 p.m., so no need to worry about parking!
Attire for the evening is black tie, so a suit or tux for the men and an evening dress for the ladies will be perfect. You can find photos from last year's event here if you need inspiration!
Dinner will be served at 7 p.m., during which you will enjoy a delicious meal and the company of friends old and new.
Following dinner, you will move from your ballroom into the theatre at approximately 7:45 p.m. for the Variety program, which will begin at 8 p.m. Sting will perform at approximately 9 p.m.
Information for Program and Concert Guests
For those coming straight to the Variety program and Sting concert, paid parking will be available in various lots around the Stifel Theatre. We recommend arriving early to find the best spots!
There is no dress code for those attending the program and concert, but we remind you that you may be seated with guests coming from the black tie dinner. Please dress as you feel comfortable.
The Variety Program will begin promptly at 8 p.m. – doors to the Stifel will open at 7 p.m. and doors to the theatre open for seating at approximately 7:30 p.m. Sting’s headlining performance will begin at approximately 9 p.m.
Information About the Program and Concert
During Variety’s program, we will celebrate this year’s Man and Woman of the Year, Spencer Koch and Carol Staenberg. You will also enjoy an inspiring performance from our Variety Children’s Chorus, which includes children and teens of all abilities. Hometown comedian Joe Torry will emcee the event, joined by three Variety Teens, and will tell you all about Variety and the power of our promise.
You will also have the opportunity to join us in making a promise to help Variety Kids reach their full potential. All funds raised this evening will go towards providing vital medical equipment, such as wheelchairs, communication devices, hearing aids, therapeutic bikes and more, to these kids and teens with special needs.
Following the Variety program, Sting will take the stage for his headlining performance at approximately 9 p.m., with the event expected to end around 10:30 p.m.
If you still need tickets, limited seats for the program and concert portion of the event are available as of this posting at Ticketmaster.
We will see you tomorrow evening at Dinner with the Stars!
