We are excited to introduce you to Amy Cole Buehler, Variety’s new Development Director.
Amy comes to us with a wide breadth of experience. She holds an MA degree in International Relations from Webster University and a BA degree in Political Science, along with minors in History and Spanish, from the University of Missouri – Columbia. She started her career in Washington D.C. as a publicist before moving into a career in non-profit management, development and public relations.
Over the course of this career, Amy has helped raise millions of dollars for many St. Louis and statewide organizations on both professional and volunteer levels. After serving multiple organizations, including as Director for both the Animal Protective Association of St. Louis and Therapeutic Horsemanship, Amy founded a consulting firm dedicated to working alongside a wide range of non-profit organizations throughout Missouri. She is also director of the Non-profit Management Masters Program at Washington University.
Now, Amy has decided to take on a new role with us as Variety St. Louis’ Development Director. At Variety, Amy will be working with the rest of the development team to foster relationships with our supporters and to continue to find ways to fund our many services and programs.
In her free time, it’s all about sports and family – sometimes, the two go hand-in-hand. Amy’s two sons, Cole and Sam, are football players and have also been involved with basketball, golf, pole vaulting and track. She’s a big fan of both high school and NCAA football, and loves to cheer on the Alabama Crimson Tide as well as Mizzou. From St. Louis, and currently living in West County with her sons and her husband, Bryan, rooting for home teams the Blues and the Cardinals is also a favorite pastime. She also enjoys cooking, reading, gardening and more.
Whew, Amy sure is impressive and we are happy she is on our team, cheering on our Variety Kids! You can reach her at Amy@VarietySTL.org or 314-720-7712.
