Virtual Winter Camp

Winter Camp for kids with special needs

For the first time our Winter Adventure Camp went virtual and was held Dec 28-31 for both kids and teens. There were 54 Teen Campers and 45 Adventure Campers! Camp featured activities  as games, crafts, virtual field trips, songs and even spent time with Hall of Fame Speaker, Roger Crawford. All supplies were mailed out to our intrepid campers ahead of time.

Art projects included pinecone owls, fluffy snowflakes and paper plate noise makers. The rice socks on Tuesday were a big hit and many had them with them during the remainder of camp. Guest speaker Serengeti Steve showed his  herpetarium and other animals. A camper who had 4 pet snakes at one time really loved seeing the herpetarium. Ms. Wheelchair America, Hilary Muehlberger played "Would You Rather?" with our kids.

Mireya was the first one up in her family to make sure she was ready for camp. We also discovered some amazing artists while laying Pictionary! They didn't just draw a picture, they drew entire scenes, including full scenes from "Home Alone" and "Mary Poppins".
