In 2019, the Variety Family Council launched Variety Family Social Groups as a way for Variety Kids and their families to have fun and connect on a regular basis. Although not sponsored by Variety, these outings are planned by Variety Families, for Variety Families and are available at either low or no cost.

When the coronavirus pandemic first hit earlier this year, these Social Groups were put on hold for the safety of Variety Kids and their families. Now, however, the groups are starting to meet regularly again using Zoom!

The Variety Teen Social Group (ages 13 – 20) has been meeting virtually on a regular basis to chat, sing songs and just spend some time together. And the Variety Kid Social Group (ages 4 – 12) recently played bingo together online, with more virtual events in the works!

All St. Louis-area kids and teens with disabilities and their families (parents, siblings, grandparents – you name it!) are invited to join in the fun. To receive more information and invitations to upcoming virtual events, please register your child here.

Those who sign up for Social Groups are also added to our e-mail list to be notified when Variety receives complimentary tickets to community-sponsored events and attractions. If you have already registered your child, there is no need to sign up again!

We hope to see you and your family at our next virtual outing. If you have any questions, please contact the Variety Family Council via email.
