Variety Women Host a Virtual Luncheon

Pieces from the Variety Women Virtual Luncheon, including the agenda and a "thank you."

For the first time in more than a year, our Variety Women finally had the chance to meet for a luncheon. Held on April 1, 2021, this virtual event was filled with the same passion and generosity that comes through at every Variety Women function, and those who attended had a wonderful time gathering to support Variety Kids once again.

During the virtual event, 14 Variety Women enjoyed lunch that had been delivered to their homes while listening to updates from multiple Variety staff members. A key focus of the day was sharing all of the ways that Variety St. Louis is still helping Variety Kids, even during the pandemic.

But the true highlights of the luncheon, as always, were the Variety Kids themselves and the stories they have to tell. The Variety Children’s Chorus sang two songs by way of a pre-recorded virtual performance. Variety Kid Savannah, a member of the Chorus, even appeared live to sing her part – her dad, Kyle, was the main speaker of the event.

Kyle shared how Variety has impacted all three of his children, including Savannah as well as her brothers, Brenton and Tanner. Each child participates in at least one of Variety’s programs – Durable Medical Equipment, TherHappy Kids, Adventure Camp and Performing Arts. This assistance has made a world of difference to Kyle and his wife, both of whom are teachers.

“Variety helps us, every day, to breathe,” Kyle told the group.

In all, it was a memorable event. Thank you to all of the Variety Women who attended! We cannot wait until we can all reconnect again in person.
