We are happy to announce the addition of a new staff member to the Variety St. Louis team – Maureen Taylor!
Maureen, who goes by Mo, is the new Program Coordinator. In this role, she will assist in the planning and implementation of current and future programing for Variety Kids and their families.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Mo is a St. Joe alumna and a graduate of DePauw University and Maryville University. She is board certified in Music Therapy and also holds certifications for teaching yoga and Zumba.
Throughout Mo’s career, she has worked with both kids and adults with special needs in home and school environments through Special School District, EasterSeals Midwest, Illinois Center for Autism and private music therapy. Most recently, Mo worked at an elementary school providing trauma-informed behavioral support, helping kids learn important emotional skills.
Outside of the office, Mo sings with the St. Louis Symphony Chorus and enjoys taking fitness classes with friends. She is also an avid Cardinals fan and loves to be in “Baseball Heaven” rooting for Yadi and the boys. She’s also about to be a first-time puppy parent, so that should keep her plenty busy!
Mo is excited to be a part of the Variety team, saying, “At Variety, I get the chance to create the programs that parents have told me they wish existed or were more accessible for their kids. I’ve seen firsthand how important these services are – here, we’re helping change and improve the lives of some very special people every day and I’m honored to be a part of it!”
Welcome to the team, Mo! We are honored to have you with us! You can reach Mo via email or at 314-720-7709.
