At our annual conference, Variety International selects organizations from around the world to receive the Variety International Corporate Award. Variety chapters nominate one corporation each year that is committed to helping Variety Kids in their area.
We are pleased to announce that U.S. Bank has officially been selected to receive the Variety International Corporate Award for 2019!
For U.S. Bank, and Market President and Variety Board Member Larry Otto, making a commitment to supporting Variety Kids just makes sense. They believe that all people deserve the opportunity to dream, believe and achieve, and that includes children and teens with special needs.
Our Variety Theatre program, in particular, has sparked an interest with U.S. Bank because they invest in innovative programs that build audiences for the arts in underserved populations as well as those that make a difference in the lives of children – both of which are part of Variety Theatre’s core mission.
Variety Theatre gives kids and teens of all abilities the chance to perform on stage, or behind-the-scenes, alongside a professional adult cast and crew. It teaches new skills, as well as fosters independence and builds confidence among participants – and inspires audiences. U.S. Bank is a major Corporate Supporter of Variety Theatre, and has been for many of the program’s productions, including our 10th anniversary production in 2018.
U.S. Bank is consistently inspired by the program’s ability to impact the St. Louis community, whether through the kids with special needs its serves on stage or the multitude of audience members that attend each show. By recognizing U.S. Bank with the Corporate Award, Variety International is recognizing a company that truly believes in the abilities of all people, especially Variety Kids.
Congratulations, U.S. Bank, and thank you for all you do for Variety St. Louis!
