In 1966, the St. Louis Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi established Sign of the Arrow to provide philanthropic support to the community. The shop, which is staffed by more than 80 volunteers, is St. Louis’ premier nonprofit retail destination for needlepoint and specialty gifts. All proceeds benefit non-profits in the area, which has resulted in more than $3.7 million dollars donated to 187 different charities since the shop's inception.
This year, Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis received one of 18 grants at the organization’s annual Philanthropy Brunch. This grant will go towards funding Variety’s Adventure Camp, which gives area children with special needs the chance to attend camp, make friends and have a wide range of fun experiences.
Sign of the Arrow offers multiple services, including finishing, stitching, choosing fibers and fabric for canvases, monograming, blocking and custom painting. Classes are also offered for needle pointers of all ages and abilities.
Thank you to the St. Louis Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi and Sign of the Arrow for selecting Variety, and Variety kids, this year. Your grant will help our campers have a lot of fun this summer!
