Registration is now open here for Variety Family Conference 2021! Part of Variety’s Emerson Resource Center, Variety Family Conference will take place virtually and in person on Saturday, December 4, 2021. All are invited to attend this free event, which will include engaging educational sessions as well as time for connection with other attendees.
The conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on December 4, with a complimentary hot breakfast buffet offered at 8:30 a.m. Those attending in person will meet at the DoubleTree by Hilton located at 1973 Craigshite Rd, St. Louis, MO 63166. For those who choose to attend virtually, Zoom meeting information will be shared closer to the event.
This year’s featured speakers, The Imperfection Sisters, will cover multiple topics surrounding those covered in their book “Shut Up About Your Perfect Kid: A Survival Guide for Ordinary Parents of Special Children.” The sisters, Gina (Terrasi) Gallagher and Patricia ‘Patty’ Terrasi will use hilarious anecdotes and fun exercises to take attendees on an imperfect journey to discover the gifts in every child. Designed for caregivers, this conference will include a signature presentation as well as two exercises, in addition to a book signing and time to chat with Gina and Patty. All attendees will also receive a copy of the book.
We will be following all CDC and local health guidelines in place at the time of the event – the health and safety of our attendees is our top priority! Please note that, due to these health guidelines as well as the topics that will be discussed, this year’s Conference is an adults-only event. Childcare will not be offered this year.
Registration and additional event details, including a Conference agenda, may be found here. While the Conference is free to attend and is open to all, advanced online registration is required by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24.
Whether on the screen or in person, we hope to see you at the 2021 Variety Family Conference on December 4! Please contact Senior Program Manager Robin Diehl via email or at 314-720-7717 with any questions.
