The Regional Arts Commission Supports Variety Theatre

Without the help of some of our generous supporters, Variety Theatre would not be possible. It is thanks to funding from individuals, organizations and grants that we are able to continue our mission of giving Variety Kids a chance to experience the performing arts.

One of these grants is from the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis (RAC), which works to grow, sustain and promote St. Louis’ cultural identity. This organization promotes and fosters the arts and cultural institutions, like Variety Theatre, throughout the St. Louis area.

This year, RAC decided to increase the award amount for Variety Theatre due to visible improvement in the program. Because of this, we will be able to further extend our mission, and, for that, we are extremely grateful! Not only does Variety Theatre give local kids with disabilities a turn in the spotlight, it also teaches new skills, builds confidence and independence, and encourages lifelong friendships, so RAC is helping these kids in more ways than one.

Thank you, RAC, for continuing to support Variety Kids year after year! To learn more about RAC, click here. Click here to learn more about Variety Theatre, and to buy tickets to our 2018 production, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, coming to the Touhill Performing Arts Center October 18 – 21.
