We are thrilled to announce that Gabe Cytron will be playing the role of Michael Banks in this year’s Variety Theatre production of Mary Poppins.
Gabe can’t wait to take on the role, saying, “I am so excited that I get to play the role of Michael! There were so many talented kids at auditions and I am so thankful to be given this opportunity.”
This won’t be Gabe’s first time taking the stage for a Variety Theatre production – he was also a part of the Children’s Ensemble for our 2016 production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
“Variety Theatre always puts on a great production and I am excited to be a part of that and help others in the process,” says Gabe. “The thing I am looking forward to the most is getting to know and become friends with everyone in the cast!”
Beyond Variety Theatre, Gabe’s theatre credits include productions with Spotlight Productions, Shooting Star Productions, MO Baptist University Theatre, Arch City Theatre Troupe and The Muny. He takes private voice lessons at Lisa Christine Studios and has danced at Krupinski Acadaemy. Gabe also enjoys playing baseball, running and spending time with friends and family.
You can see Gabe on stage alongside a professional adult cast and inclusive Children’s Ensemble October 18 – 20 and October 25 – 27, 2019 at the Touhill Performing Arts Center. Tickets go on sale in early August. Learn more about Variety Theatre here.
