Favorite Event: If I have to choose just one, Bikes for Kids. It’s fun to see our year-long fundraising efforts come to fruition with the purchase of some therapeutic bikes. More importantly, it’s rewarding to see the looks on the kids’ (and parents’) faces when they see their very own bike waiting for them.
How did you get involved with Variety? A good friend introduced me. I was looking to get involved with a high-quality organization. After attending a couple Young Variety happy hours, and hearing the Variety story, I joined up quickly.
What’s been your biggest take away from Variety? Seeing the impact of Variety’s work on the families: the Variety kids, their siblings, and their parents. Variety helps kids meet their fullest potential every day, with a lot of smiles and laughter along the way. Having a small hand in fostering that enjoyment and happiness has been more rewarding that I could’ve imagined.
Why would you encourage others to get involved? If you’ve been blessed with a big heart for kids and a commitment to give back, Variety is a great organization to be involved with. You’re rewarded by seeing the happiness Variety brings.
