We are excited to announce that Leah Pfeil will play Amaryllis in our 2020 Variety Theatre production, The Music Man!
Leah is a Variety Kid and was a part of the inclusive Children’s Ensemble for last year’s production, Mary Poppins. She can’t wait to take on a principal role this year.
“I am excited to play this because I will have a lot of time on stage and I will be in a lead role,” says Leah.
When she found out she landed the part of Amaryllis, she couldn’t wipe her huge smile off her face.
“I smiled a lot – I said, ‘oh yay!’” says Leah. “I was so happy and excited. I was also proud that I got the part when so many other people could have gotten it.”
She shares that her favorite thing about being part of Variety Theatre is learning all the songs. Leah loves to sing and has a beautiful voice, a skill she has built upon during her time with the Variety Children’s Chorus over the last two years. Variety Theatre has also helped her expand on other theatre skills.
“It has helped me be able to act and dance better than I used to,” says Leah.
Leah will take the stage alongside professional adults and an inclusive Children’s Ensemble, which will also include her sister Ruby and brother Ray, this October 16 – 18 and 23 – 25. Tickets will go on sale on September 4, 2020!
