Is there anything better than Imo’s Pizza for dinner? An Imo’s Pizza order that supports Variety Kids, of course!
On April 25, 2018, more than 100 St. Louis-area Imo’s Pizza locations participated in “Imo’s for Kids Day.” On this day, 10 percent of proceeds from each of these locations benefited Variety St. Louis.
Customers could order at any time during business hours. They could dine in, carry out or order delivery and even order online – any menu item counted towards helping kids with special needs in the St. Louis area.
Two very special guests were able to make their own pizzas alongside Carl and Kelly Imo on that Wednesday morning. Variety Kids Liam and Mireya were treated to a slice (or three) of Breakfast Pizza before stepping into the kitchen to concoct their own epic creations. And Fox 2 was there to capture the fun and help spread the word!
On April 24, Fox 2 and KPLR 11 also featured an interview between Variety Teen Danielle and Kelly Imo to promote the day. Radio stations KLOU, KFTK and WXOS also hosted Variety Kid Josh and Variety Teen Mollie to share the story.
Part of “The Care Beyond Compare” program, Imo’s for Kids Day has raised more than $2 million for Variety since its inception. That’s a lot of pizza, pasta, salads, sandwiches, toasted raviolis and more!
Thank you, Imo’s, for choosing to support Variety Kids through this program, and thank you to the media outlets who promoted the story to the region. Finally, thank you to each and every one of you who enjoyed an Imo’s Pizza order on April 25! Because of you all, we are able to continue our mission of helping children with special needs reach their full potential.
