Adventure Camp 2018 is officially off and running! During Week 1, we had tons of new experiences, made best friends and had an all-around fantastic week!
We started off Week 1 at Forest Park, where, with the help of the Missouri Department of Conservation, we were able to go fishing in the lake. We also learned all about science and the earth, and even took a look through the microscope to see things we had never seen before.
Tuesday was all about sports and games – both inside and out! In the morning, it was off to Catch 22 Miracle Field for a game of baseball. Then, we headed to Sports Fusion for an afternoon filled with all sorts of fun. We jumped, rolled, slid and climbed all over their play place and inflatables, and we also played a round or two of mini-golf. One of our highlights of this day was our team game of laser tag!
On Wednesday, we hit the rink to skate and play a little hockey. For some of us, it was our first time on the ice! We also got to learn more about computers and robots during our Robotics session. The campers drove robots of all shapes, sizes and colors! Then, it was time for a swim in the pool.
Thursday was another day of new experiences for many campers – in the morning, we went to Upper Limits to rock climb. This place is really cool because they have special equipment to make sure kids with all abilities can climb the wall. And, in the afternoon, we went bowling. Plenty of strikes and spares were thrown!
On Friday, we got to spend the entire day at the St. Louis Zoo. We saw so many animals, and we even took a ride on the train and the carousel. One of the best parts of the day was watching the sea lion show – they are so goofy and smart!
Throughout the entire week, we also got to play on tons of playgrounds, make crafts, sing songs and much more. Looking for more photos from throughout the week? You can find more in our Flickr album here.
Stay tuned to see what the next few weeks of Adventure Camp bring us!
