Young Variety

About Young Variety:

Young Variety is a proactive group of St. Louis area professionals ages 21-40. Led by Young Variety President Dan Berns, this dynamic, hardworking group provides a fresh perspective on strategies and techniques to raise funds and awareness for Variety the Children's Charity of St. Louis and its mission to serve children with physical and mental disabilities in the Greater St. Louis region.

Young Variety was created to attract respected young leaders with the desire to contribute and associate with others who have similar goals. The group is administered by its own board of directors and currently includes seven subcommittees in which members can become involved.

Young Variety enjoys unique opportunities with Variety children and actively participates in social events throughout the calendar year. Young Variety members plan and host annual benefits and provide volunteer support for Variety events. Service on the executive board and committees offers numerous opportunities to become actively involved with one of the finest charities in the St. Louis region.

Sarah's Story

William Shakespeare wrote, “All the world’s a stage.” In Sarah’s world, her place is not on the stage, but in the wings managing the show. The high school senior has been involved in school productions since ninth grade, but it wasn’t until she served as assistant stage manager for the Variety Children’s Theatre production of “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” that she realized just how big a role theatre plays in her life.
