Teen Variety

Thank you to all who attended the Teen Variety Get-together!

By joining Teen Variety, you'll have the opportunity to help children with
physical and mental disabilities!

The mission of Teen Variety is to actively create awareness, volunteer time and generate funding for Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis by involving teenagers from all St. Louis high schools. Teen Variety members aim to educate their peers and the community about children with physical and mental disabilities and Variety’s role in serving them.

Since beginning in 2004, the Teen Variety team has become a mainstay at Variety events. Scores of Teen Variety volunteers have assisted Variety children and supported Variety staff members at events such as the annual Variety Parade, Variety's Annual Telethon phone bank, Variety Adventure Camp and the Bikes for Kids program.

Teen Variety organizes several fundraising events each year. Past events include a family mini-golf day, summer pool party, a Halloween party, and a garage sale.  In addition, Teen Variety volunteers have several ongoing fundraising programs, including the sale of Variety Gold Heart Pins and baked goods at high school sporting events.

Sarah's Story

William Shakespeare wrote, “All the world’s a stage.” In Sarah’s world, her place is not on the stage, but in the wings managing the show. The high school senior has been involved in school productions since ninth grade, but it wasn’t until she served as assistant stage manager for the Variety Children’s Theatre production of “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” that she realized just how big a role theatre plays in her life.
