Variety Race to the Chase aired after the Channel 4 News on April 25, 2009. Local celebrities
went head-to-head in activities like an obstacle course and wheelchair basketball in St. Louis' only reality TV show. Teams participating were St. Louis Rams players (Eric Bassey, David Vobora and Aeneas Williams), St. Louis Blues players (Eric Brewer, D.J. King and Erik Johnson), and Clear Channel DJs (Curt Copeland of Z107.7, Jill Devine of 93.7 The Bull and Tori Lions of My 103.3). Each team was coached by a Variety child.
