Race to the Chase

Variety Race to the Chase aired after the Channel 4 News on April 25, 2009. Local celebrities went head-to-head in activities like an obstacle course and wheelchair basketball in St. Louis' only reality TV show. Teams participating were St. Louis Rams players (Eric Bassey, David Vobora and Aeneas Williams), St. Louis Blues players (Eric Brewer, D.J. King and Erik Johnson), and Clear Channel DJs (Curt Copeland of Z107.7, Jill Devine of 93.7 The Bull and Tori Lions of My 103.3). Each team was coached by a Variety child.

Thank you to the Clear Channel DJ's for initiating a fundraising competition through Variety Week!

Congratulations to the 2009 Race to the Chase Champions, the St. Louis Rams!

Sarah's Story

William Shakespeare wrote, “All the world’s a stage.” In Sarah’s world, her place is not on the stage, but in the wings managing the show. The high school senior has been involved in school productions since ninth grade, but it wasn’t until she served as assistant stage manager for the Variety Children’s Theatre production of “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” that she realized just how big a role theatre plays in her life.
